REMINDER! Biweekly Payroll Process on Tuesday, May 28
This is a reminder that we will be running the next biweekly payroll for pay period 05/12 thru 05/25 on Tuesday, May 28th with the normal 10 a.m. cutoff for approving time. Since Monday is a Holiday, please have the bulk of all time reporting and approvals completed by Friday (May 24) along with running necessary audits. Only last-minute changes should be processed on Tuesday morning.
NOTE: The monthly payroll will be running Thursday (this week), May 23rd, so you will not be able to enter or approve any time that day after 10 a.m. Please plan accordingly.

Wrapping Up May Sell Back 2024
The annual PTO Sell Back program allows non-bargained employees to request a pay out of their available PTO bank hours (up to maximum allowed) according to the U-M Health & Shared Services Paid Time Off Program Policy in either the last paycheck in January or May (not both). Refer to applicable bargaining agreements for union employees.
Enter Sell Back Hours within the following Pay Periods:
Biweekly: 5/12/2024 - 5/25/2024
- Cut-off is 5/28/24 at 10am to enter Biweekly Sell Back; pay date 5/31/24.
- If the deadline is missed, enter a prior period adjustment in the 5/12-5/25 pay period so it pays out on the June 14th check, if at all possible.
Monthly: 5/1/2024 – 5/31/2024
- Cut-off is next week 5/23 at 10am to enter Monthly Sell Back; pay date 5/31/24.
- If the deadline is missed, enter a prior period adjustment in the 5/1-5/31 pay period so it pays out on the June 28th check, if at all possible.

Employees eligible to sell back PTO:
- U-M Health Non-bargained employees
- Employees covered by the following collective bargaining agreements:
- AFSCME - American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO
- UMPNC – University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council
- UPAMM – United Physician Assistants of Michigan Medicine
Employees not eligible:
- Employees in Executive job titles that also do not have an assigned salary grade/pay zone.

- Employees in their probationary period
- Campus or Medical School employees (non-bargained for) with Vacation & Sick plans
- Employees who participated in the PTO Sell Back in January may NOT sell back PTO in May.
Employees must remain on an eligible PTO plan for the entire pay period.
There are three ways you can verify if an employee sold hours in the January Sell Back (PTB):
- Review the December - April timesheet(s).
- Review the paychecks/gross pay for December-April.
