Michigan Medicine employees are the lifeblood of the operation and it is crucial that they are recognized for the work that they contribute to Michigan Medicine, whether they are behind the scenes or front-facing with patients. To show appreciation, the established Employee Recognition Program, through the work of a committee, designates awards for and recognizes employees for outstanding performance, contributions, and other achievements.

Making a Difference Program

Patients, their families, visitors, and staff can recognize employee contributions through our Making a Difference Program. Michigan Medicine has a long history of recognizing employee contributions and honoring employee achievements and is proud to boast that this recognition program receives approximately 17,000 submissions per year - and each one means so much to the employee receiving it!. Nominations can be submitted here or via a paper nomination form, which is available throughout the various clinics and departments. Awardees receive a special pin along with a Making a Difference certificate.

Additional Recognition Programs

There are also other ways to recognize your employees. The Recognition Program partners with departments and leaders others across Michigan Medicine as a team of committed recognition champions providing education, strategies, programs and tools to assist in the creation of a culture that values people.
