UPAMM Update: April 5, 2021

Following another week of small group negotiations between the University and UPAMM, the teams have made good progress on a number of proposals including committees and governance, temporary employees, personnel records, attendance policy, mandatory felony disclosures, provider impairment, and flu vaccination and other mandatory immunizations. While tentative agreements for each topic have not yet been reached, discussions this week were very productive and the progress the teams made together is encouraging.

Negotiations will resume next week as the teams continue holding subgroup meetings twice a week during April, with the shared goal of reaching a final tentative agreement that can be presented to UPAMM members for a ratification vote in early May. Proposals likely to be negotiated next week include evaluations, collaborative practice, reduction in force, short-term layoffs/furloughs, and orientation.
